Is your business based in Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire? Are you using a local company to look after your telecoms?

Based on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border we are ideally placed to install and maintain telecoms equipment for your company, particularly phone systems. From a traditional PBX through to a state-of-the-art VoIP phone system.

Being local we can get to you quickly and cheaply meaning that the cost of installation is reduced and ongoing maintenance is affordable.

We have our own telephone engineers in-house who will be responsible for installation and then would maintain the system. You get to see the same person working on your system from day 1 and throughout your contract.

Reducing the cost of your business phones

We have good relationships with a number of suppliers enabling us to find the right system for your requirements at the right price. From a small 3-user system through to a VoIP solution covering multiple offices.

In addition we can supply you with lines and calls at greatly reduced rates over many national suppliers. We have our own bespoke billing engine allowing us to tailor packages to your usage.

As well as offering physical phone systems installed in your premises we also have new hosted VoIP solutions which give you corporate phone system features without any up front PBX costs - you only pay for what you need.

Which phone system is going to be ideal varies from business to business dependent upon a number of factors. We can undertake a free review for your business to show you not only which one works out best but also to compare the various different options and features which are available.

It may be that extra features such as call management and call routing could drive your productivity upwards and these can be factored into any solution. For more information contact us.

Landline and mobile business phone packages

Wednesday, March 16, 2011 9:28 AM

Up until fairly recently businesses would usually deal with different providers for their landline and mobile phones. Often going direct with the network for their mobiles and direct with BT for their landlines.

More and more businesses are now seeing that there are other providers who can package their telecoms together resulting in cost reductions, improved communication systems and streamlined administration.

As devices become more complicated and their range of functions more advanced the reliance upon decent broadband and IT has increased. You can run your whole company's telecoms over your internet connection so you need to ensure it is fast, reliable and, if it is business critical, that there is a failover in the event of any connectivity problems.

Whilst many companies in the telecoms sector advertise mobile and landline solutions, very few have the broad knowledge of both telecoms and IT that we have. This enables us to put together complete packages which encompass all of your telecom needs without relying upon other suppliers.

This leaves you with one point of contact for all of your communications, so changes and issues can be addressed quickly with a single phone call.

We have put together telecoms packages for local companies as well as national, multi-site chains so have experience across a broad range of sectors of the issues which need to be addressed when devising and implementing a total solution.

Our areas of expertise include:

  • Transfer of fixed lines
  • Installation of BlackBerry servers
  • Server migration
  • Router failover
  • Leased lines
  • MPLS Data Networks
  • QOS (Quality of Service)
  • Wi-Fi
  • IPpbx
  • Signal boosters
  • Number provision
  • Video conferencing
  • Landline and mobile cost reduction

This is just a small sample of the type of work we undertake. We relish the opportunity to solve your business connectivity problems, so if you are unable to get exactly what you need with other telecoms companies get in touch with us.

Cloud computing explained for small businesses

Monday, December 06, 2010 3:10 PM

The cloud. It's something you are going to hear about more and more and it could be the future of your business. Basically the cloud is a term used for internet services.

An example of a cloud based resource is a social network, such as Facebook, which is accessible to you anytime, anywhere. You don't have to worry about data security, that's all taken care of by others.

If you currently host your email on a server within your office, you have the costs of the hardware itself, the email software and licensing, and ongoing maintenance, not to mention data security. If anything goes wrong you could be in a mess.

When you move your business email to the cloud all of this is looked after by someone else. They will utilise the latest hardware and software, and apply the most up-to-date security available. All users have their own credentials to use the service, giving you full control over who has access to important documents and files.

The cost of a cloud based solution is based on the number of users and paid monthly. It is a fixed cost which means there are no nasty surprises, such as when a drive fails or server becomes infected with something nasty!

As well as email the cloud can be used for document sharing and storage. This means that they are available anytime, anywhere in the world. Employees can collaborate on documents, chat in real-time and display their presence and availability to others.

Cloud solutions for small businesses offer instant communication and can reduce your overheads. They can make your business mobile and ensure continuity in the event of major disruption.

Seeing past lower business mobile tariffs

Monday, November 01, 2010 10:21 AM

Picture this: It's that time of year when you renew/review your business mobile phone contract. Being sensible you get a couple of quotes in addition to your current supplier. But which one of them is the best for your business? Is it always the cheapest?

The simple answer is no. Chances are each quote will have slight differences or even major differences such as network. There's no point moving your business mobiles to a network which gives you lesser coverage in your area, even if there are cost savings to be had.

In the same vein, if new handsets or technology could offer you a better way of working remotely could this improve your profitability? This increase in profits might more than justify extra spend on better mobile phones that help streamline your operations.

Then there is the issue of customer service. If you feel that your current supplier is not providing you with the service you want/need is it time for a change, even if this means paying slightly more?

Could a new supplier provide you with extra value added services - landlines, broadband, VoIP, mobile broadband, call management, employee management etc. The benefits of a single supplier solution not only impact cost but also give you one point of contact and streamline your billing operations.

A telecoms consultancy approach could save you more money in the long run, even if it means paying slightly more in the short term. Having said that it doesn't always have to. Cost reductions and improved communications can exist side-by-side and that is always our aim.

We look at your current contracts across all of your telecoms and find ways in which we can reduce your overall spend whilst still delivering the latest technology to improve your internal and external comms. Matching up landline and mobiles with call management solutions ensures you never miss a call and that calls will follow you wherever you are.

To find out the ways in which your business could benefit from a converged solution get in touch with us for a free telecoms review.

Business resources website launched

Wednesday, July 28, 2010 5:01 PM

A new website has been launched, SME Business Resources. It aims to compile a complete list of resources for small businesses and medium sized enterprises.

Small businesses are often overlooked by suppliers and find it hard to get the very best deals. This website aims to remedy this by finding all of the cost saving options and listing them all in one place.

At launch it is majoring on a few niche sectors:

  • Business Websites
  • Business Finance
  • Business Phones
  • Lead Generation

However other areas of interest for SMEs will be added on a regular basis.

At the same time, as part of its lead generation service, it is promoting consumer offers too. The first of these relates to debt problems and helping people get out of debt. Again more niche products will be added as the lead generation service expands.

It has its own blog which will be regularly updated as pages are added. Visit the SME Business Resources blog.

Other areas in which it hopes to expand are IT support, particularly with cloud-based IT solutions, fleet services, and business credit cards. All of these areas will be included by the end of the year.

A single simple enquiry form allows businesses to choose as many products and services as they are interested in and receive quotes without obligation.
